Every week in 2018, I’ll be sharing a power word in weekly wallpapers to help brighten your desktop and act as an affirmation of sorts. These wallpapers will be available in two desktop sizes, tablet and mobile device.
This week… Roots
Consider a tree for a moment. As beautiful as trees are to look at, we don’t see what goes on underground – as they grow roots. Trees must develop deep roots in order to grow strong and produce their beauty. But we don’t see the roots. We just see and enjoy the beauty. In much the same way, what goes on inside of us is like the roots of a tree.
– Joyce Meyer
I am blessed that taking a walk in a forest is not such a distance for me. I love walking through big giants and I was amazed by this uprooted trunk. Uprooted probably decades ago that yet was continuing to have life… and on the day I saw it, to give a moment’s pause to a mere human like me.
How deep do your roots go? Have you had to uproot some? I think despite sometimes needing to cut some of our roots, we do continue to thrive especially if said roots were dis-eased and causing us discomfort.
I do not believe we are bound to our roots but that healthy, deep ones do help make us stronger.
I hope it is a glorious week for you!
